Total Recall

I went to see Total Recall with the twins today - and LOVED it! It was exactly up my alley: great CGI, futuristic setting, car and other chases, big fights - and ass kicking ladies as a bonus! And since I saw both the old and the new version of Total Recall, I honestly don't get people who say that the old one was better. Have you seen it recently? It's incredibly cheesy and the acting is bad, BAD with capital letters. Whoever says that Schwarzenegger is a better actor than Colin Farrell needs to have his or her eyes checked!
The movie was exactly what I wanted and expected it to be. I wished someone else, not Jessica Biel, played Melina, though. Farrell had much better chemistry with Kate Beckinsale and I wish there had been a real emotional connection between Doug and Lori, that it hadn't been all played, that would have had a much more profound emotional impact, I think, or that they had at least told/shown us more about why the resistance loved Hauser so much that they were willing to take him back even though he might have been compromised. But other than that, I was really happy with this film.
Another one I'll be getting on DVD for sure. I love it when Kate Beckinsale kicks ass! I would rate it 7/10.
Trailers I saw? Resident Evil: Retribution (great CGI but... zombies, not my cuppa), Premium Rush (\o/) and Looper (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!).
