This was a wonderful episode for Holmes and Watson's interaction. So many fantastic scenes with a real "domestic" feel!
Like the first one, where they were in the barber's shop and Watson deduced that Holmes had a little squabble with Mrs. Hudson, that Mrs. Hudson was doing spring cleaning and kicked Holmes out. And Holmes went on and on and on about how Watson was mistaken, that he was just going over the concert they attended the evening before in his head and he forgot a piece of the music and that was why he was so agitated. But then he admitted that, well, Watson might have been partially right. And Watson went all "HA!"
And then they walked down Baker Street arm in arm:

And they sat intimately close when their client was explaining his case:

And Holmes woke Watson up as gently as ever in the morning:

And Holmes couldn't find his scrapbook and made a huge mess again...

... Which Mrs. Hudson didn't take well at all, she might have even screeched! And yes, Watson knew exactly where to find the scrapbook, proving once more that Holmes would be lost without him.
And the ending, when Watson wanted to write and Holmes kept tormenting his violin! And then he wanted to call the short story "The Brook Street Mystery" but Holmes suggested "The Resident Patient" - but added that Watson shouldn't let him influence his writings. And Watson pondered it and pondered and tried a few titles - only to call it "The Resident Patient" after all. They're wonderful!
