"The House of Silk" by Anthony Horowitz4 stars out of 5
The best non-Doyle Sherlock Holmes story I've come across so far. Intriguing and with many unexpected twists and turns, it features Holmes being accused of a crime he didn't commit and Watson never once losing faith in him. Wonderful. Though I could've done without the Moriarty part which was unnecessary for the story itself and made Watson look a bit like a fool, in my opinion.
Also, the ending was incredibly bittersweet and I actually bawled like a baby. The violin and Watson hoping Holmes was playing for him... Truly wonderful. Anthony Horowitz really got the spirit of Holmes and Watson's relationship.
