I watched all 5 eps last night, went to bed at 1am! I'm glad that I kept the eps and marathoned them. I don't think I would've enjoyed them as much if I watched them week-to-week.
I'm glad that Neal decided to stay, that it was his decision, that he made it after a thorough consideration. I'm curious if Peter will ever find out, that Neal could've left with all he had but decided to stay, I mean. And I also hope that the treasure plot and sneaking around etc. and so on is over now, that it'll be Peter&Neal against the world again.
What I didn't like was how pushy Mozzie was - though I understood his POV - and Sara's sneaking around. That was rather hypocritical of her: She goes through Neal's safe (it doesn't matter if it was open or not, she had no right to nose there), then she tells Neal that her case files are off limits and THEN she hacks his laptop. All I could think was, seriously, Sara? Seriously???
That said, Sara grew on me. I think it's because I literally gave up on all that I adored about this show and decided to just watch it without any deep, thinky thoughts. Because what I used to love about this series was how... small and intimate... it had been, just Peter, Neal, Mozzie and El. Now there's a mass of characters so it feels... different, like a team show, not the bromance it used to be.
So, if I should rank the mid-season finales so far, I would say:
1. Free Fall S1
2. Point Blank S2
3. Countdown S3
