He strong-armed Charles backwards onto the pillow, holding him in place against the mattress. "Sleep, you stubborn bastard." Charles laughed, a soft rush of air against Erik's skin.

"You cannot force someone to sleep," Charles said, twisting in Erik's arms. He snuggled close, entwining his arms around Erik's middle, digging a knee painfully into Erik's leg, trying to find a comfortable place. Like a cat clawing its chair in preparation for sleep.

Tiny fic but so good. Sometimes, a little schmoop does a heart a world of good ;)
