katikatThis should've been a Deeks-light episode but it didn't feel that way AT ALL! Just the opposite!
It's the ep where Eric Christian Olsen wasn't there, at the set, much because he was re-shooting some scenes for a movie he had filmed last year. But it felt as if he was there much more than in the previous eps. Maybe because his scenes took place mostly indoors, he could film them all at once? Who knows. But it was very well done. And we found out more about his background, so yay!
Loved the banter between Callen and Sam about humble bragging. I LOL'd. And when Callen said, the next time he gets shot, they better be in tears, and Sam told him that they hadn't been in tears the LAST time he got shot - I think that was BS. After that scene in Legend and after he admitted that losing a partner was his biggest fear, I bet that Sam HAD been in tears.
You know, I think it's all a foreshadowing of some kind. What with the "Next time I get shot" and "You always need saving"...
Loved that Hetty told Deeks to put her down as his next of kin. I love the relationship she has with him - and with Callen.
