Watching Fringe

So, I picked up S1 where I had stopped watching before...
How could've Olivia thought that it would be a good idea for Walter to go back inside is beyond me. It was pretty obvious how it would end. I felt so sorry for Walter - but I'm glad that Peter's slowly learning how to handle him.
Honestly, I don't care much about that "Peter Bishop's back in town" plot line. I don't know, I just prefer scenes where Olivia, Peter and Walter interact. And I don't like the actress that plays Peter's former girlfriend - she always plays whiny cry-babies. I'm curious though, what the whole thing with John's about.
