katikatThe Conscience of the King: That one kept me guessing till the end. I didn't suspect the daughter at all. Man, she was crazier than a sack full of rabid weasels! Also, I really thought that Riley would die. And that's what the story of Tarsus IV was about. I've seen it mentioned in ST:Reboot fics before, but I had no idea what it was about. Oh, and I loved the little chat between Spock and McCoy in the infirmary, when Spock said that he did consider that Kirk might have had a thing for the girl, but he dismissed it. McCoy's "You would" made me LOL!
Balance of Terror: Excellent episode! I love it that there's this balance among Kirk, Spock and McCoy, they all bring different opinions to the table and then try to find a middle ground. I loved the little talks Kirk and McCoy had in this episode, especially the one where McCoy told Kirk he should not destroy himself. Also, that was a great space battle, it didn't even need amazing special effects, the suspense was enough. And another thing: knowing what Romulans looked like, it wasn't a surprise for me, but back then, it must've been a bit of a shock, this resemblance between Romulans and Vulcans...
