The Mentalist + Hawaii 5-0 Xmas episodes

katikatIt was kind of a blah episode. I liked that they didn't just drop the burned cop killer but other than that? Meh.
I decided to give H50 another go, what with this being a Xmas ep and the whole "Chin in peril" thing and I actually liked what I saw. There has been definitely an improvement in the show. I still don't see the slash, but I like the more team-oriented dynamic.
Chin in trouble brought out the team feelings pretty nicely. I loved that nobody hesitated when it came down to stealing the money - but I bet that it will drop them all in a huge pile of trouble soon!
I loved Danny calling Chin "our boy" :P Also, the bickering between Danny and Steve felt more... natural, not as staged as in the first episodes. Good.
And Mark Dacascos! Awesome.
