Youka Nitta's "Otodama #1" (manga), #106
Oct. 6th, 2010 09:05 amKaname Otonashi is gifted detective with a super-hearing ability. He can even hear voices from the "otherside" - of the dead! Yasuhide, (aka. Hide) his business partner, also a former detective, still collaborates with the police department and brings home unsolved cases to keep their business busy.
Review: Despite this being a Youka Nitta manga, it's not yaoi (yet?), though the possibility of it turning yaoi is there, what with Kaname and Hide living together. It's a supernatural (murder) mystery and a really well-plotted one. I loved how connected everything was. I liked the second story better because it was more about the main characters whereas the first story served as an introduction in a "who is who and what do they do" kind of way. And the art is beautiful, stunning even, I would say.
