The Mentalist 301
Sep. 27th, 2010 04:59 pmReally liked the premiere. I loved the continuity, that Jane was deeply emotionally disturbed by what happened in the S2 finale...
Poor suffering Cho. And it was so funny that Jane saw right through the kidnapping victim's wife.
Simon Baker did an amazing job in this episode. I loved the way he played Jane, totally on the verge of an emotional breakdown. When he told the girl that Lisbon tricked him because his daughter would've been her age if she hadn't been murdered. Ouch. I also loved the way he kept spacing out - or the way he kept pulling Lisbon's leg :P
Loved Lisbon! Loved the way she tricked Jane. And that she refused to take his crap - or let him pull away. That was awesome!
The murderer? Pretty obvious from the beginning. But not because of bad writing but because of the casting. The actor is just too well-known not to play an important part.
Van Pelt and Rigsby? I didn't mind that they weren't almost there. Jane, Lisbon and Cho are enough for me.
302 promo.
