You're my only hope - and all that ;P

Could someone please tell me how do I get rid of these boxes with numbers that I circled - squared? - in the picture below? It's a screencap of a post on my flist.



In Mozilla, they show like that. In IE, it's just empty boxes. I don't know what they should represent, if I'm missing some plug-in or something, but they are QUITE annoying - and ugly.

Also, how do I get Japanese/Chinese/Korean signs to appear in Mozilla? I can't find the correct plug-in...

ETA: I'll try to install the "East Asian Language Support" on my 'puter because using Unicode UTF-8 didn't work... *sigh*

It's actually two curly set of quote marks. So, I don't know what you need to install to make it work. Possibly, just the font.

*sigh* It's hard to install the correct font when you don't know what the correct font is. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! *hands*

The font would be my guess too. There must be a East Asian font somewhere that works for all browsers.
