It seems the book contains secret knowledge-and the Fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands. And if that doesn't take enough of Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf side-leaving Mercy to cover for him, lest his own father declare Sam's life forfeit. All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't careful, she might not have many more to live...

Review: Best in the series yet. I loved all the pack stuff that Mercy had to deal with, it wasn't just her bond with Adam but also the other wolves who hated her for being a coyote in a wolf pack. I loved Sam's storyline in this book, that both Mercy and Adam decided to protect him. I loved Warren and Kyle. I loved Ben - man, I love him more and more with every book. I loved Phin and Ariana.

What I didn't like as much was Mercy's adventure in Fairyland, but that's just me loving the wolves more than the fae. The second thing was Sylvia - you know, I hoped that with her being Hispanic and a single mom of six, facing prejudice day after day, that she wouldn't be so bigoted. I was sorry to see that I was wrong.

Best part? Mercy pulling a gun and shooting a werewolf in the throat so that he wouldn't be able to challenge Adam.
