Haven 101

The pilot didn't blow me away but I liked it well enough to keep watching. It's like the new X-Files/Twin Peaks, based on Stephen King's short story "The Colorado Kid".

Stuff I liked:
* The main heroine, Audrey Parker. She's just tough enough and still a normal girl, there's nothing special about her. And I like that a lot.
* Nathan Wuornos, the cop who can't feel pain. Loved the strange relationship he has with his father - who is also his boss. Loved the scene where Nathan was lying asleep in his office after he was shot and his father was watching him through the office window, all worried.
* Duke Crocker. I'm so curious about why Nathan is so pissed at him!
* The two weird journalists on the tandem bike!

Stuff I didn't like:
* Some of the special effects.
* The scene where Audrey stopped Marion from blowing away the whole town. That was badly written and the acting was even worse. Hopefully, it'll get better in the future, both the writing and the acting.

Otherwise, I'm pretty content with the show :)

Definitely curious about where it's headed...

It seemed really interesting, and I'm definitely willing to give it a chance. Actually, I must've somehow missed something because I pegged Nathan and Duke as being brothers, actually, which would explain the animosity. Oh, well, so much for that.

Well, you can't expect the best special effects here; I mean, after all, it is SyFy.

Nathan told Audrey that he had known Duke since he was five. At first, I thought that they might be brothers too, but it looks like it's not true...

I'm really curious about where they're headed with the show.

Yes, it seems that way. Only in this case, Audrey is "Mulder" and Haven is supernatural, not just weird. I like it.

Yep, I definitely thinks this looks interesting and I'm giving it a try. Not like I have anything else to do. LOLOLOL.
I like Audrey: I think she's cute. Plus Nathan is kind of hot.

Nathan so is. Though I'm more curious about his relationship with his dad than about Audrey's past.
