What happens when you combine bicarbonate of soda, a wad of chewing gum, white vinegar, and a makeshift fuse fashioned from a Marlboro Light? You get Richard Dean Anderson guest-starring on the upcoming USA Network series Facing Kate.

Fancast has learned exclusively that the star of yes, MacGyver, as well as Stargate SG-1 will appear on at least five episodes of the fall series, which stars the totally gorgeous Sarah Shahi (Life) as Kate Reed, a top-flight litigator who leaves her firm to become a mediator.

Anderson’s Facing Kate role is that of David Smith, a charismatic but secretive man who enters Kate’s life shortly after the death of her father. In short order, it is revealed that David has deeper connections to the Reed family. Link.

Interesting. Not enough to get me interested in the show itself, but interesting. I wonder if we'll see him in a suit 8)

No, I don't think it would make me watch the show either, maybe that episode, but not the show.

As much as I love RDA, the show's synopsis just doesn't do it for me. I might be proven wrong, the show might turn out to be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath.
