It always tickles me happy when writers/actors acknowledge two people having a "protective relationship" in their show. In this case, Shane Brennan talks about how Sam always protects Callen. And yes, that's the best part of the show - and Kensi kicking butt, of course - the way Sam tends to follow Callen with his eyes, making sure that he stays safe. That pretty much pushes all my buttons!
