Do you also hate it when someone is making himself at home at your computer? Well, I asked my friend to come and look at my poor comp, since the sound is bit off - making weird crackling noises again. And of course, he had to play a bit with the settings and stuff and now I can´t play the DVDs on my comp! I thought I would smack him. And since he tried to put the settings back together - he wasn´t very successful - I had to sit there with him for 4 HOURS!!! And so I didn´t learn anything today. And I have my two last oral exams this Friday already! Needless to say that I was pretty much pissed about the whole thing! :(

But I saw the trailer to The Chronicles of Riddick. Wow! I´m not that big of a fan of Vin Diesel, but this film does look really good. I LOVE special effects! :)

I have really high hopes for this movie. Of course, I've only been waiting for it since they first started talking about it in 2002. (Impatient person that I am, waiting this long has been awful) I caught Pitch Black in the Theatres in 2000, back before I had ever heard of Vin Diesel, so this is the role I always associate with him. It's the movie I've been the most excited about all year. Not to mention that my current favorite actor is one of the major badguys. Fortunately for my sanity, and the sanity of everyone around me, I only have 5 more days to wait. 5 very very long days.

Heh, my friend told me that this movie was a sequel of some sorts to another movie with Vin Diesel, but I didn´t see it. I will have to look for it on DVD then! :) Thanks for the info. Now at least I know the title of the movie.

BTW - is there a place where I could download the trailer to show it to my mum? She would like to see it, too! :)

Chronicles of Riddick looks a little like I would have expected Dune to look, if H R Giger had done the designing. I'm trying not to get my expectations too high on this movie, but the trailer does look so cool. It's hard not to expect it to be a really good movie.

BTW - did you know that they filmed the Dune films here in the Czech republic? :) And some Czech actors played in there, too. Do you remember the bald guy who played some sort of military advisor of Susan Sarandon in the second trilogy? That´s Marek Vašut, one of the most famous Czech actors :)

I've actually never seen the new made-for-television Dune films. I've only seen the movie that was made about 20 years ago. It's been a long time since I've been into Dune. I read about six of the books back then.

I don't know if I've ever told you, but my mom's side of the family was Hungarian and Slovak. My grandfather was born in Budapest.
