Still any SGA fans on my flist?

I want to marathon my favorite episodes of Stargate Atlantis once I finish Jeeves and Wooster. I decided to limit it to five and those would be (in no particular order):

1. Inferno
2. Echoes
3. The Ark
4. Outcast
5. The Prodigal

All team episodes with the exception of Outcast, which John/Ronon pure (well, with a side dish of McShep at the very beginning).

And what are your Top 5 eps? Would you be willing to marathon them with me so that we could squee together once more?

Hm, SGA, haven't watched it in a while but strangely enough SGU often puts me in the mood when I keep thinking: this would have been so much better with...

I have a hard time narrowing it down to top five but excluding my mad love for the Pilot and Season 1 Premiere, these are some I've watched multiple times:

1. The Defiant One
2. Michael
3. Sateda
4. Echoes (heh, one in common)
5. Last Man Standing

I went for the very funny, very slashy and action-filled episodes! And I haven't watched SGA in, like almost a year and it's such a shame. The show was so good - at least most of the episodes shone through something, like the banter at least!

It was pretty shameful what the producers did to the second half of Season 5 with the McKeller-fest. And then, pretty quickly, it became the red-headed stepchild of the entire franchise. Hope they're happy now with the ratings of the shiny new replacement. *is petty*

I hope that at least the SGA books will start being published again. Fandemonium keeps postponing them but of course, SGU's Air novelization came out on time *iz petty too*

Only five? Very difficult. All the episodes on your list are great, and I've always been fond of The Storm/The Eye and Aurora, but I think my list would have to look like this:

Phantoms
Common Ground
Doppelganger
Outcast
Vegas

Looking at my list, one might get the strange impression that I'm a Sheppard fan. ;)

Hehe, we have Outcast in common! I'm a huge Sheppard!fan too. That's why I don't mind with whom he is paired in fics - McKay, Ronon, OMC - as long as he's a part of the main pairing!

When is that viewing on?

I can tell you my least favourites, they are all fandom's most favourite. Phantoms, Common Ground and thing and thing are favourites of course, as well as the Return, IIRC, best team action in all the years. The Tower, actually, IIRC, in the face of everyone. I realise I can't remember any ep titles anymore, I just remember e.g. J climbing Atlantis tower or other scenes that might be from eps I might not even have liked overall.

No one on my flist seemed really interested. So I thought I would marathon it over the Xmas. I wanted to watch an ep or two last night but then VLC started acting up and I had to find out what the problem was *sigh*

I really love the funny eps with a lot of banter between John and Rodney. Those two made even the most horrendous episodes good. The lack of that really showed in the 2nd half of S5, the best being The Prodigal :(

I've got seasons three and part of five to (re)watch, never managed to get four on disc. Tell me if you'd like to parallel watch or something.

I can't remember any banter in 5 that didn't feel off or was too short, TBH, but I was able to like a few shows just because they were written and shot ok (earlier seasons) though I'd not remember remarkable scenes. Mainly I'd rewatch for John.
Uh, I forgot which one ep (apart from Vegas) I didn't hate, but it was one that just felt a bit tighter and better; should read up my journal.

I loved the banter in The Prodigal, when John found out that Rodney forgot to repair the jumpers and he made Rodney go with him and repair them now as he promised to do two years ago! Ha! It was also a great episode because there was no Keller there.
