Wow. I'm... stunned. And smitten. What an amazing episode!
Jo and Ellen's death were heroic. I cried buckets but it was still... beautiful. I know that it sounds weird but they died like heroes, doing one last thing to kick Hell in the balls and that was amazing. And I loved it when Jo asked her mum to treat her like an adult, just this one time.
So, the Colt doesn't work on five things, huh? I wonder if we will find out what the other four are - maybe angels and the four horsemen? I mean, five is a very specific number... And I understand why they didn't feel the need to research the Colt. I mean, all they had was a legend, handed down from one person to another. And so far, it really did kill everything. Even the frickin' angels didn't know that it wouldn't kill Lucifer.
I loved the talk between Sam and Dean, when Dean wanted to go alone and Sam told him no way, no how, they should never split again. I mean, it wasn't Dean taking charge, it was them discussing it like equal partners. Even though Dean thought it was a dumb idea XP
Castiel... rocked my socks. Yes, he lost his powers but wow, I loved how he used Meg to leave the circle. Ha!
And Bobby. When Dean was all desperate about Jo, I loved how Bobby talked him out of it, how he ordered Dean to pull it together. Despite being in wheelchair, he's a great help and moral support. But it's amusing that everybody seems to turn to Dean as the leader. Whenever he steps in, everybody defers to his decision...
Also, I'm so curious what Death looks like! And Mark Sheppard! Eeeeee!
Both thumbs up, Mr. Kripke, both thumbs up!

Date: 2009-11-20 11:07 am (UTC)Because I'm a big Castiel fan, I especially liked his scenes with Lucifer. Mark and Misha played well off each other. I'd like to watch their scenes again. Mark Pellegrino is so perfect for Lucifer. Mark Sheppard needs to be back in the show again, soon!
Btw, I'm looking forward to what you think about Bones this week. I LOVED IT.

Date: 2009-11-20 11:37 am (UTC)I disliked Jo at first but this season, she was really cool. And I loved that she put her foot down and decided to look at the situation objectively - as the only one. Her "this is literally my last shot at being an adult" speech made me cry. And I didn't expect anything else from Ellen but staying with her daughter. It would be really OOC if she didn't do it.
