Favorite Dean/Castiel episode?

I'm really into Dean/Castiel these days, so I wondered what's your favorite Dean/Castiel episode? Mine?

On the Head of a Pin, definitely. When Dean begs Castiel not to make him do it but Castiel asks anyway - and then he has to face the consequences when Alastair breaks free and almost kills Dean. I mean, wow, talk about a guilt trip for the angel. If there's one human Castiel feels the need to protect, it's Dean and what he requested of Dean didn't just almost kill him, it broke him. Wow, to have that on your conscience...

So, what's yours? Tell me!

Probably Lucifer Rising (pretty sure it was that, and not the one before. I'm not by my dvd's at the mo)

Its pretty much over-shadowed by the Sam/Dean angst angle, but when Cas helps Dean get to Sam, when he sends Zachariah away. I love it. It's subtle and shows he cares, more than he should, even after being re-brainwashed by Heaven. He went back to Dean. Sure it took a while, but the good things usually do :)

(side note, may I recommend the song Wish I Had An Angel by Nightwish. I think of Cas when I hear it.)

Yes, it was pretty amazing when he finally went and did it, when he finally broke up with heaven to help Dean. I mean, he had to know that there was only a slim chance that they would stop Sam but he still did it!

For me it's probably "The End" where poor fallen Castiel is staying with Future!Dean even though the guy has clearly emotionally disconnected from it all. And then he is so happy to see "his" Dean once more. Also, when Castiel pulled Dean out from Zach's grasp there and at the roadside, for a second there I thought they'd hug. *draws hearts*

I love their relationship so much.

I loved the Dean vs. Dean stuff in The End but Castiel felt slightly disconnected in this ep to me. Well, he was drugged out of his mind after all :P But I did love the "I like past you!"

There was an uncertainity and intensity between them

I lovelovelove the scene that you described above. It was extremely intense, and I love the chemistry between them in that particular scene.

Other favourite scenes : In 'The End' when Dean came back from the future and Cas said to him "We had an appointment" and Dean said to Cas "Don't ever change." That was just so heart-melting!

And another one in 'Free To Be You And Me', it's a minor scene but I love it so much ie when Dean fixed Cas's tie for him when he dragged Cas to be FBI agents. Again, heart-melting!

Yes, Free To Be You And Me was a pretty funny Dean/Castiel episode XD

I just love those intense scene where Castiel worries about Dean and where he has to decide for himself on whose side he stands, the angels' or Dean's!

I don't have a favorite episode, but I have a favorite moment. It's from Sympathy for the Devil. I love when Dean says to Zachariah, "Learned that from my friend Cas, you sonofabitch." Just hearing Dean refer to Castiel as his friend made me happy.

I also loved the moment in Good God, Y'all! when Cas tells Dean he did everything for him (and Sam). I wonder if it had been two other people, would Cas still have put his own life in danger like that?

Yes! It does sound like Castiel is doing all this for DEAN. I mean, Castiel stood up against the other angels to protect Dean, human!Dean, not vessel!Dean because he's not all that eager to see Michael possess Dean :P
