I'm going to take another stab in the dark. I'm kind of assuming by 'Riptide' you mean the 1980s series with Perry King and Joe Penny? I watched the show when it was first run by I haven't seen it since and I even had to go to IMdb to look up the character names. *o...Cody? and if that's wrong I'll just guess Nick. *G*
