Well, there's no doubt that SGU is all about the darkness and despair but despite that big circular thing that goes whoosh! I hardly associate it with Stargate at all. Not sure why.
I'm also not sure why I want to like the show beyond the fact that I love scifi - although that didn't help with BSG.
The jury's still out on whether I like the show or not but I'm intrigued enough to give it another week.
