1x14, Nightmare: I loved all the little scenes with Sam and Dean in this one. Like the one where Sam had his first real vision and his head started to hurt. Or when he used telekinesis to push the cupboard aside to save Dean. And Dean's expression in the last scene, as he was leaving the cabin... Aww. And his words turned out to be actually true - as long as Dean was around, Sam toed the line, more or less. Once Dean was gone, Sam turned dark. Some cool foreshadowing there, Dean really is Sam's moral compass.

1x15, The Benders: I think this was the scariest episode of S1, at least for me. Like Dean said: "Demons I get, people are crazy." And Dean ordering Sam not to do that again, not to disappear on him like that again... Aww.
But what made this ep special for me was Jessica Steen - I've adored her since Home Front and Earth 2 and even waaaay back, Captain Power! I usually don't like secret siblings popping up in shows, but when she appeared as Frazer's sister on due South, I was totally excited.

1x16, Shadow: I loved that both Sam and Dean were really smart in this one: Sam saw through Meg and Dean noticed the symbol. And then there was the scene that broke my heart, the one where Sam told Dean that he would have to let him go eventually. I felt so sorry for Dean, it's true that everybody keeps leaving him :(

The Benders! That was one of the scariest episodes for me, too. Funny that it involved nothing supernatural.

I think maybe that's why it was so scary in the first place. I mean, from demons, you expect evil. But from regular people?

Nightmare was the first episode when I first realized that John was actually an awesome father ( considering everything ). Hearing Max described how his father abused him and all, John was a saint compared to that.

You know, I never liked John. He was definitely better than Max's dad, that's for sure, but he was still a selfish man. He put his desire for revenge over the good of his own kids.
