Writer's Block: Worst Advice

"You should drop out of school and finally find a job."

I was studying for my MA in history and German language at that time - which I finished Summa Cum Laude - and working part time as a translator. I literally told my aunt to stuff it. I was so angry I couldn't see straight.

When some people give us some big advice in an age we can't clearly think, that is worse. I totally feel you.

Especially since they aren't in our shoes. It's always good and well to kibitz from the sidelines.
