First they whine that SPN isn't being treated properly, that it's a bubble show, year in, year out - and now that Dawn Ostroff says that S5 doesn't necessarily have to be SPN's last, that "[The Supernatural creative team] did a really good job this year and it really paid off in the ratings", people complain again - how she should talk to Kripke before she flaps her mouth, how she just "doesn't get it" etc. etc. I mean, huh? I don't get the fans, really I don't.

I for one would be glad to see SPN continue. As it was stated, both Jared and Jensen signed contracts for six years and if the show does well paired with Vampire Diaries and against Fringe, why shouldn't it continue? In the SPN world, there are many roads the arc could take after all.

Can we have SPn without the fandom? Because some days, they are pissing me off.
I so wish for S6 but...but...
I'm afraid for the plot and what will happen.
More angels/demons? More urban legends? more...deaths?

It would be definitely interesting to see where they would take it in S6 \o/

SN fandom drives me batty, it really does.

I love the show and will watch it for as long as they keep making episodes, although honestly, I think five seasons will have been quite exhausting enough, for all concerned - cast, crew and fans! But if they get the chance to continue, everyone involved stays with the project, and the storylines remain strong, why not a sixth?

I will also watch the show as long as it's on air. I just hope that the ratings won't go down... Well, even if they do, we did get five seasons, right? How many shows can say that these days...

Some fans - the ones who are the loudest, sadly - aren't ever happy, that's the sad truth; it'd seem they just can't ever be satisfied about anything. That's what I dislike the most with that kind of fan, no matter what happens, they'll always find something to bitch about.

I understand that people will be never satisfied, no matter what TPTB does. But the SPN fans are starting to get on my nerves a lot. They are devoted to the point of obsession and that's scary O.O

Eh, what it boils down to is that people are batshit crazy sometimes and bitch just to hear themselves whine. SPN isn't any different from any other super fandom with a really wide fan-base: there are always going to be malcontents yammering about every single aspect of it. And they rotate and take turns.

And that didn't sound bitter or cynical at all, did it! *G*

Bitter and cynical? Naaaah ;)

I understand that people's opinion differ but SPN fans are scary. Although now that I'm delving into the NCIS fandom with all its Ziva-haters... Yikes O.O

Slash fandom is usually not kind to females intruding on their gay territory. I haven't been real active in NCIS fandom in a while (hell, never really was that active) but I'm sure there are a ton of Ziva-haters just like there were lots of Caitlin-haters. I like both though they both annoy me sometimes. But hell, Tony annoys me sometimes, too. I just forgive him easier because he's, well...Tony!

Holy crap! The number of Samantha Carter-haters in SG-1 is just staggering. I happen to like Sam.

In SPN the only females that don't take a beating are the ones who're transitory like Sam's Sarah in S1.

I don't see the percentage in bashing on a fictional character. That's just totally immature. If I don't like a character, they basically become a non-entity to me. Why waste effort and wring out emotional stress on something so trivial.

Back to the question you originally had and 5 or 6 seasons of SPN? WTF people? Don't want a 6th season? Don't watch!

I like it that in SPN, basically everybody is a free game. From Andy to Henricksen, from Ava to Pamela. As it should be in a horror show!

And there are so many Sam Carter-haters? I actually really like her. I don't like the O'Neill/Carter ship because that's simply unprofessional and it makes them less than they are - it's great in a fanfic but not in the series itself. I mean, if Hammond suspected anything at all, he would have split them in nano-seconds! I think that some things should be left for fanfics only - see my aversion to the McKeller pairing!

I think the only reason to limit it to five seasons is because Kripke says he wants to limit it to five seasions *shrug*

mind you I was one of the few that wasn't all that impressed by this seasion it was *good* but not *wonderful* in my mind- but like I've said that's mostly my fault. I know a lot about angels (for a novel I was writting and then gave up on after sevral of my key points were used in Supernatural this year) so that story line didn't realy interst me...

I don't think that Kripke really did have a five-year plan at the beginning. He knew how the show would start and end but everything inbetween he is spinning as he goes. He probably didn't even believe that the show would last five whole years. But that's just my humble opinion...

Oh I doubt he ever thought it would last 5 years - he probalby had doubts it woudl go a whole season. But in season one he said he had a 5 year plan - so that could be spun out to 6 (cause of the strike and what not)

Mind you I think he's totaly changed the way he had invisioned the show so those early coments might not mean anything now.

A 6th season would help make up for the episodes we missed during the strike. I would die a happy woman if we got a 6th season.

Me too! I just hope that Kripke isn't planning to kill Sam and Dean at the end of the show...
