This was really good. Tony was shown as a really competent interrogator/investigator. Gibbs supported Tony - though I did feel like he didn't believe Tony's self-defense speech at first, until Ducky proved that Michael was drunk. But I did love that he cared for Tony's well-being and that he trusted him to hold his own in the interrogation room. It was funny that McGee, despite his rather inappropriate remarks, was the only one of the team who didn't believe for one moment that Tony could have killed Rivkin in any other way but self-defense. And hey, Arnold Vosloo! That man is gorgeous!

The ending was rather cliffhanger-ish, wasn't it? And Shane Brennan did say that whatever people expected to happen next, it wouldn't, so now I'm really curious!

I loved the talk between Lisbon and Patrick, when ho told her that even if the sheriff killed him, she would have gotten Red John, and she responded that he behaved childishly and that there were people who cared about him a lot! And in the end, Patrick did choose life - he killed his only lead to save Lisbon. Awesome!

And did you see? According to TVbythenumbers, The Mentalist is moving to Thursday 10pm next fall and Tuesday will belong to NCIS and NCIS:LA - kinda lame, the name :( People think that CBS is grooming TM to take over the 9pm slot on Thursday once CSI is over. I don't know what to think of it - TM proved to be a good 10pm player but...

Also: CW vampire show may get Smallville spot:
After days of rumblings, the CW is said to have settled on launching the hot new drama Vampire Diaries Thursday 8 p.m., paired with Supernatural. Vampire Diaries would replace the staple in the time slot, departing veteran Smallville, whose final ninth season would air on Friday, probably at 8 p.m.

So, VD will be paired up with Supernatural, huh? I could understand that, both are paranormal, but to split SV and SPN in their - possibly - final seasons...

I'm quite pleased with the possibility of Vampire Diaries and Supernatural being paired together! Supernatural always skewed much more female than Smallville, and Vampire Diaries and Supernatural just seems like a totally more compatible combo (both being very supernatural in theme, both tending to skew female). I'm quite pleased with the idea! I've always wished Supernatural would be paired with a female-skewing show again, to maybe help its W18-34 numbers get closer to season 1's numbers...

By all accounts, it seems like the CW is banking on Smallville and Supernatural lasting more than one extra season. They went to a lot of trouble in the last couple months to sign all of the Smallville's principal stars through season 10. (And it's been confirmed Jared and Jensen are signed through season 6 for Supernatural.)

I thought both NCIS and The Mentalist were awesome!

I didn't get that Gibbs didn't believe Tony's claim of self-defense at first, maybe that he was questioning his motives for being at Ziva's to begin with. And I can't believe that Ziva would even think that Gibbs would choose Tony over her and yet she looked a little stunned when he did. Granted, Gibbs and Ziva have a bond but so do he and Tony (and a hell of a lot more history). Besides, she gave Gibbs an ultimatum in a way which she should have known Gibbs wouldn't respond favorably too. Plus there's no way that Gibbs would move aside an agent (even laterally) that he felt had proven himself. Not just Tony, no one.

I like Ziva well enough, but sometimes she annoys me. She's trying to serve to masters at the same time and while their interests often coincide, they're just as often at odds. She's doing both a disservice.

I loved Lisbon's little rant at Jane, too. I really loved seeing that little smile on Jane's face at the very end. He realizes that he may be willing to sacrifice anything to get Red John (because I still think he is), but he's not willing to sacrifice others. And he's made his peace with that.

Also, that Red John smiley face above blind Rosalind's bed totally gave me a wiggin. *shudders*

I also think that this might work out (and for the first time in a long time I actually understand where the CW is headed with something). And even if it doesn't, it'll be probably more the fault of Fringe than the different lead-in.

When I think about it now, it's possible that Gibbs didn't doubt Tony after all. HE didn't doubt him - but when he learned that Tony had been snooping around Ziva's desk the year before, he suspected correctly that other people might accuse Tony of jealousy and thus he needed an unassailable prove that it was self-defense.

I like Ziva a lot - more than Caitlin. And yup, she's trying to serve two masters - she's gone native with the NCIS and now she doesn't know to whom she should be loyal. It's actually quite understandable...

And TM - oh yeah, that smiley on the wall in the blind woman's bedroom creeped me out awfully! It was an awesome scene, the face, Patrick's expression and the woman totally unaware. Yikes!
