You know, sometimes, there are movies/shows/mini-series that you would love to see on DVD, that you would pay big bucks to get on DVD and - zip! Nada! Just today, I was reminded of two awesome Italian mini-series: Il barone and Caraibi!
Il barone was based on a novel by Sveva Casati Modignani and it featured Ron Moss as "the baron", a rich guy who - together with his bodyguard - decided to fight against the mob that tried to ruin him. Ron Moss is mostly known for his part as Ridge Forester in The Bold and the Beautiful and he's a gorgeous, gorgeous man!
Caraibi did appear on DVD as Pirates: Blood Brothers, but that's a badly cut version - almost 140 minutes of the 4-part series are missing. This historical adventure tells the story of two brothers, twins - Nicholas Rogers as Ferrante/Malasorte and Paolo Seganti as Ippolito - who end up on opposite sides of the law: one as the most dangerous pirate in the Caribbean, the other as the governor hunting him down. But do not fear, their happy ending is guaranteed!
Edit: Two cute Caraibi music vids on YouTube: one and two!
And could Michael Weatherly be any cuter?
