According to this blog, this was Paul Walker's answer when they asked about the sequel to Fast and Furious:
"It's beyond rumors at this point. I've spoken with executives at Universal and they're pretty serious about it. They're developing it. They know where they want it to take place. They want to do it in Europe."

Let's hope it's true. And that the movie will have both Walker and Diesel in it. And that the friendship between Dom and Brian will remain the centerpiece again, the love interests just a side dish...

I don't care where it is, actually, as long as there is another one! *g*

I would prefere Brazil, to be honest. It doesn't feel as... claustrophobic as Europe. In Europe, there are just too many people squeezed in a too small space. It doesn't feel as... open, I guess.

But you are right. It doesn't matter where, only that there will be a movie *crosses fingers* And I hope that they will keep the same proven theme going - friendship first, everything else not really important.

'claustrophobic'

You're absolutely right! Actually, that was one reason why I didn't like the Japan one much either, it all felt hemmed in - from the interiors to the race scenes, all of it.

But then I thought they could possibly do a city-country-hopping race thing, easy to do on the continent, with the added plus of a different culture and scene for every stop.

But I'd prefer Brazil too, better weather, more exotic, definitely with a more dangerous feeling there too.

In Europe, they could join the millionaire race that leads through Europe. An illegal race with fast, gorgeous cars that the cops try every year to stop and fail. But yeah, Brazil is far more exotic for us Europeans :P
