Naked in Death

So, I've been reading J.D. Robb's "Naked in Death" these days, the first book in her "In Death" aka "Eve Dallas" series and you know what? The relationship between Eve and Roarke reminds me of the relationship between Vicki Vale and Bruce Wayne in the first Batman movie. You remember the part where Vicki (Kim Basinger) was invited to the Wayne castle for dinner and Bruce (Michael Keaton) showed her his... "house"? That was so like the scene where Roarke showed Eve around his mansion XD

I like the book so far but I think that Robb is overdoing it a bit with Roarke's Marty-Sue-ism ;P

I've never read JD Robb, but I love her Nora Roberts' love stories.

At least you're enjoying the books. I absolutely love them, but I love anything Nora Roberts writes.:)

And I think it was Vicki Vale who had a thing with Batman. Vicki Nelson is a PI who hunts evil with a vampire sidekick.;)

Ha, I stand corrected, it was Vicki Vale XP

And I am enjoying the book. It does feel that it's the first book in a series, a bit rough around the edges, but quite enjoyable still :)
