319, Dead Men Don't Floss: A funny episode. The huge brawl at the end was quite funny! And Murray as a biker! Heh, that was cute.

320, Chapel Of Glass: Is it just me or did they hint at a possible Cody/Joanna pairing at the very end? Maybe a direction they wanted to take if the show was picked up for another season? Other than that, why couldn't Joanna's fiance be a good guy? It would have been a nice change to see a cop happily married... *sigh*

321, If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em: A clip show. But at least the story was interesting. And quite funny - it felt as if the writers already knew/suspected that their show was canceled and so they poked a little fun at themselves.

Only one more ep to go and I'm done with this series. Wow.

RE: Chapel of Glass, yes, I do believe that they were trying to make Cody and Joanna a couple. That's what I was hinting at in an earlier reply to you when I mentioned that I never liked her character.

And I love "If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em", even though it is the next to last episode. The thing is, they were getting beaten by the show Moonlighting in the ratings, so that episode is a total spoof of that show. For myself, I never much cared for Moonlighting, and it really annoyed me that NBC cancelled Riptide rather than just moving it to another night. :: sigh ::

I'll be watching for your response to the last episode. It's not a typical episode of Riptide, but I won't say anything else about it until you've seen it. Oh -- other than to have you take special note of who directed the last episode.

I think I wouldn't have minded Cody and Joanna together, if the writers didn't go at it in such heavy-handed way. They forced too much stuff in too few episodes so it felt like it came out of left field. Until then, Joanna didn't show the slightest interest in Cody. Maybe they were going for some counter-measures against Moonlightning?

I actually liked Moonlightning. I liked the banter between Maddie and David - as long as it was all about UST. Once they made them a couple, it went downhill fast and I totally lost my interest. As Joe Flanigan on Stargate Atlantis said: you can't let your leads consumate their relationship until the very last episode because there's nowhere to go after that.

Oh, AMEN! SO many great shows ruined that way!
