Over the weekend, I finished two books: Mark Del Franco's "Unquiet Dreams" and John Simpson's "Murder Most Gay".
Del Franco's book, second in his Connor Grey series, totally floored me. It was so much better than book 1 which was good in itself but you could feel that it was the author's first piece. "Unquiet Dreams" on the other hand is great, fantastic! And Meryl still reminds me of Abby Sciuto from NCIS :P
Simpson's book on the other hand was a bit of a disappointment. Thanks to Josh Lanyon, I'm used to high-quality gay mystery books and although Simpson's piece had quite an interesting plot, it was dry reading that reminded me of an official report of some sort. Also, the main hero's promiscuity didn't sit well with me...
And now I'm reading Sabine C. Bauer's Stargate Atlantis tie-in novel "Mirror, Mirror". Fans seem to love it so I'm quite curious.
Also, I ordered books:
Keith R.A. DeCandido's Supernatural tie-in novel "Bone Key"
Elizabeth Christensen's SGA tie-in "Casualties of War" and
Sonny Whitelaw and Elizabeth Christensen's SGA tie-in "Chosen"
I resigned myself to never get my hands on James Swallow's SGA tie-in "Halcyon" which is hopelessly sold out everywhere. Darn it *sigh*
And does anybody know if there will be any more SPN books? I hope that at least the SGA ones will keep coming!
