Chuck, NCIS, Graysons
Oct. 1st, 2008 09:03 pmHm, maybe it's because so many months passed since the show went on hiatus but I was a bit underwhelmed by the premiere. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to see the show back, it was funny, action-filled etc. and I was especially glad to see Cpt. Awesome in the opening credits but it still felt like it lacked something... Argh, it's hard to put my finger on it. I loved the spy part but the BuyMore part was a bit tedious :(
Ratings: 6.48 mil., 2.4/7 - ouch!
Awesome! This show just rocks my socks in the best way ever. I loved how the whole team wanted Tony back - especially Gibbs' look at Tony's empty desk was quite touching. Though I have to wonder, if Vance didn't send Tony away as a punishment, why did he do it? Curious, curious! The whole team is so... team-y! I just lack the words to describe properly, how happy this show makes me!
Ratings: 17.24 mil., 3.5/10 - it was the most watched show on Tuesday night!
And the CW is prepping a series based on Batman sidekick Robin’s pre-Caped Crusader days. Quoting: "Just as "Smallville" focused on Clark Kent in the years before he became Superman, "The Graysons" will follow the world of Dick "DJ" Grayson before he takes on the iconic Robin identity and aligns himself with Batman." Awesome! Finally a new show on the CW that I'm actually looking forward to!

Smallville, age, Ma and Pa Kent, they got the characters in there at least (in fact in the comics Lana and Pete get married and Pete becomes Lex's running mate and in the end vice president) and depending on which backstory you were taking from Clark aka Superboy and Lex were bf's before the great rift of Superboy blowing up Lex's lab (v. silly but it was the fifties).
Dick Grayson is a tad harder to do because Batman mythos tends to be a bit tighter, especially the back story. In fact the only one they changed would be Jason Todd's (second Robin) and only because his was originally a carbon copy of Dicks.
....sorry I just showed off my comic geek there.
