* I finished reading Mark Del Franco's "Unshapely Things" and I have to say that I liked it a lot. People compare it to Jim Butcher's "Harry Dresden" and though it is a bit similar, it's also completely different. And I like it better than good ol' Harry - I just couldn't get through book 3. In Del Franco's series, I love the characters, especially Stinkwort and Meryl who reminds me of NCIS' Abby Sciuto :)

* And now I'm reading Josh Lanyon's latest "Adrien English Mystery" - "Death of a Pirate King" - and it's so good. Adrien is his usually quirky self, we see much more of Jake Riordan and the book definitely starts with a bang. Or a splash, if you want to :P My favorite line so far? "Post Traumatic Sex Syndrome?" XD

* GateWorld posted an interview with Charles Shaughnessy, the billionaire from SG-1! I love the actor so much from The Nanny and Days of Our Lives \o/

I pictured Meryl a lot like Abby, too, when I read those books.

I actually read them out of order, which was a good thing, because I do think the first one was better. Unquiet Dreams is kind of convoluted. Not a bad story, and I still enjoyed it, but just a bit more messy in presentation than the first. I do love his female characters, leave it to a gay author to create believable, likable, supporting females.

I understand from his LJ that the third book was sent off a couple months ago, I think, so shouldn't be too long before it's on the market.

He's gay? Wow :) No wonder that there was so little macho posturing that's so common in other male writers' books! I love the whole Murdock family in the book!
