Casting call for SGU is out! And I don't know if I should laugh or cry because...

Colonel Everett Young: 40's handsome, capable, former SG team leader - aka the "geezer" of SGU because every Scouts troop needs a seasoned leader!

And it goes downhill from there:
Tamara Jon: 20-25, all ethnicities (Asian Preferably). SGC Field medic, Captain grade.
Chloe Carpenter: 20ish. Stunning and sexy. Daughter of a U.S. Senator.
Eli Hitchcock: 20-25. Total slacker. Utter genius.
Lt. Jared Nash: 20-25. Junior S.G.C. team member. Officer material but green and rough around the edges.
Ron "Psycho" Stasiak:20, all ethnicities. Marine. Big, strong, silent.

Oh. My. God! Gossip Girl took over Stargate! All that's missing is a "OMFG! SGU!" promo! *dead* Do they even realize how ridiculous that sounds?

While I approve of Hitchcock as a last name I approve of little else. Although the Marine has possibilities if only because if he gets killed (as all marine's do) Gibbs can come and solve the case.

Although the Gossip Girl promos are rather hot, I could deal with that.

That would be awesome! I love the fact that Jason Momoa is of Hawaian descend. It's different. There aren't only the Chinese and the African Americans in the USA. Why not a Puertorican character? Or why not have both? Native and African American?

And the Chloe character... Can we say white, blond, busty, long-haired?

so I guess I'd like to see one white chericter. To make it funny it could either be Chloe or the Strong Silent one. have one Native American one African American and the other two be Hispanic - now one of the hispanic could be aparntly white (Like Say Jesica Alba)

I was willing to give this show a chance but they are undermining my decision with every press release, really! I mean, a rich white girl? A straight-as-a-ruler soldier? Geeky geek? Big, silent man of color? *head/desk* They could write books about stereotypes. I really hoped that at least Stargate would avoid the "barely legal, hot as a wet dream" mojo but this... It finally sunk in that they really don't care about the viewers that they already have.
