90210: last week (premiere) 4.65 mil., 2.6 demo, this week 3.3 mil., 1.7 demo
Privileged: this week (premiere) 2.90 mil., 1.3 demo
Fringe: this week (premiere) 9 mil., 3.2 demo
So basically, 90210 is down to GoGi's and OTH's numbers, Privileged is even lower. The CW's crown jewel might just be made of glass. I'm curious how TPTB will spin this 1.3 mil. drop. And ouch for Fringe too, that's not even Bones' numbers and there was so much hype about it, too!
And TV Guide's Matt Mitovich posted a question about the cancellation of SGA:
Why is Sci Fi dumping Stargate Atlantis? How were the ratings? Will Atlantis have movies like SG-1? — Johnny
Matt: I reached out to Atlantis show runner Joseph Mallozzi for his extremely qualified perspective on the cancellation, and frankly he's a bit stymied. After all, he shared, "The ratings for the first half of Season 5 have been better than the ratings for the back half of Season 4, which were, in turn, an improvement over the front half of last season." The light at the end of this black hole? Says Mallozzi, "Yes, the plan is to continue the stories of the Atlantis expedition in [TV]-movies."
Aha, so even the producers are kinda confused why their show was canceled. That's nice to know X(
I'm mostly over the whole cancellation thing. I mean, I as a fan. We still have the DVDs, a half of a season to go and at least one movie on the horizon. But I'm still terribly sad - for the actors. As Joe Flanigan said, "the cast and the crew, they are like family". It's well known that he had troubles finding a lasting acting gig in the past - 11 pilots that didn't take in a row - and I'm afraid that finding a new job now won't be any easier for him. David Hewlett has already two movies planned for this and next year, but Joe zip :( I really hope that he gets a role in something action filled, he plays a great cop!
But to end the entry on a positive note - OMG, did you see the spoilery pictures for SGA 5x15?! OMG, OMG, OMG!
