I listened to Gateworld's podcast where David Hewlett talked about filming The Shrine. Some things surprised me, other stuff amused me...

What surprised me: David is convinced that McKay and Sheppard don't spend much time together. When I heard that I really felt like scratching my head. I mean, Rodney and John played The Game for two years in their spare time. Then they played chess. Oh, and let's not forget the computer golf game in Quarantine. Lately, Rodney just barges into John's room without even knocking and then there are the missions of course! I mean, if they spent more time together, they would be joined at the hip!

What amused me: David thinks that McKay wants to be like Sheppard, the dashing hero XD That was so funny! Oh, and he has the feeling that Rodney and Jennifer's relationship is doomed. He's convinced that Rodney will do something dumb/bad and they will break up in the end. That made me actually laugh!

Oh, and I started reading Sally Malcolm's "Rising" the novelization of SGA's pilot. And it's so good! Like really awesome! I love the inner monologues and thoughts of the main heroes. My favorite lines so far?

Jack O'Neill: "The snowfield went on forever. It was enough to render a penguin snow-blind."
Rodney McKay: "In fact, he was almost certain that it was actually a facet of the ongoing cosmic joke fate liked to have at his expense."
John Sheppard: "... and Sheppard sidled closer in the hope of eavesdropping. Or as he preferred to think of it, gathering intel."

Sally Malcom writers them perfectly!
