This was quite a funny and touching ep, really. The parallels between the baby's fate and Bones'...

I liked how awkward Bones was around the baby at first. She saw the child as an anthropologist and that was so funny. How she let the boy swallow the key, heh! How she talked to him like he was a graduate from Yale! That was pretty funny.

And the scenes in the lab, when Angela said that she wanted a million babies and Cam countered that babies are smelly and she would never ruin her figure for a child. I must agree with her on that part (not the figure though ;P) because I don't like kids either and I just don't get how some women turn into blabbering idiots around children *shrugs* And then, when Angela realized that it would be hard to keep her figure when pregnant! Heh!

Though I think that Bones' altruistic decision to pay for the bridge was a bit over-the-top. But it did show how little she values money in general even if that's a bit odd in a foster care child that she used to be.

And Booth was all geeky too! "What are we doing, Bones?" when they were using water to find bits of bones.

Oh, and Zack. "Is it a good time?" "No, no, no..." Hangs up! *giggles*

A good friend of mine got yelled at for ripping Steve Carlson's songs and sharing them with her flist. I know that ripping is wrong but on the other hand, I would never buy a CD that I didn't listen to first. Why? I don't know, maybe because I live in Europe and I pay like 10-15 bucks just for shipping from the US?

And another thing, I love those sanctimonious idiots who, at first, yell at you for ripping the song and then, they say that if you ripped Madonna, it would be okay. If you rip Steve Carlson, you are doing a very bad thing. I mean, huh?

I don't think yelling ever solved anything... I don't think I know any Steve Carlson songs - I may give them a try - I may not.

I cna kind of see the point about small vs big artests - btu here is the thing, most of the artests I really really like are small time. Yeah I buy the cds (when I can sometimes it's just imposable to find them) do I feel bad? Yeah sure - I mean I know what it's like to have no money and still have to do what you love maybe even working two and three jobs - but I also make a point of paying to see them when I can.

oh well my commnet probalby didn't make much sence I will have to try time make my mind work when I get home form work... sigh*

Yeah, I do understand that for Madonna, it's different than for Steve Carlson. On the other hand, if they want to point at people, they should make sure first that they are not guilty of the same crime.

I try to buy all the movies/songs/series legally when I like them. But if it wasn't for the rips, I would never even know of them. And some CDs aren't even available anymore - I'm for example a big smooth jazz junkie and some of the older albums are hopelessly sold out :(

oh true. I have any number of cds copied cds so I realy shouldn't speak to this. I don't down load music of the internet - but that is probalby because I have dial up. but then again if I like something I do buy copies.

I'm a folk rock fan so yeah I feel the 'it's SO out of print' thing.

While I enjoyed his musical performance at EyeCon and he seems like a nice guy from what little I saw, I'm just not into that type of music, so I can't really say I felt the need to download the songs.

Having said that, I keep seeing folk referencing the songs were available to listen in full at his MySpace page, so if folk wanted to sample his music--I'm one who'd like to hear a song in full--it's available there, so why not link to his MySpace page as well?

I download all sorts of pirated software, so I can't claim any 'upstanding citizen' thing and I don't advocate 'yelling', but at the same time, if a file is readily available in *full* for free and being shared where the owner of the file feels most comfortable, then the duplication of files elsewhere remains in question.

Hypothetically, if I took a [fanfic or not] writer's work off their unlocked LJ and posted it in full on my journal without their permission, even if they specifically requested permission be asked in advance if archived/posted anywhere else, but keeping their name to credit the work, does it make my actions okay? Granted, once something is online, it spreads out of your control but my actions of posting a fic where ever I wanted should be fine, based on the analogy of Steve's songs?

In my case, I know pirating software isn't correct and it's not something I can really defend.

Heh, I'm just the opposite. 95% of my software is legal. And the three programs that aren't are from the year 2000, no new rips for me :)

But when it comes to movies/series/music, I have to watch/listen to it first thoroughly, over a period of time, to find out if it's a keeper or a temporal glitch on the radar only ;) When it's a keeper, I buy it.

And yup, the songs are online. But for example me, I pay for every mb I download so streaming vids/radios are a big no-no for me. The only radio that I do listen to, when the mbs are cheaper - like after midnight - is Sky.fm's New Age radio :)

Um, with my computers, if the software isn't freeware, it's pirated.

Back to Steve, considering the amount of pirated software, like I said, I can't really comment on the song sharing but I can understand why folk could be upset. While it benefits some now, it may be detrimental down the line. Same thing could be said about software piracy. It's a tough topic.

OMG, I loved Bones! It's been so long, I'd forgotten what a great job the show does with that very obvious subtext - B&B meeting eyes over the baby's head, "out little guy", etc. I do think that the money thing might have been a touch forced. But I did love geeky!Booth! I loved it because he didn't need to get an explanation before he was willing to help. He trusts that Bones know what she's doing - and I've been back on S1 a bit recently, so it's nice to see that trust!

You know, at first, I started to watch the show because of David Boreanaz. But now, I love all the geeks too! Even Cam. At first I hated her but now, she's so quirky! For me, this is one of those "feel good" shows *nods*

So much ♥ for the new Bones. I was soooo freaking happy just seeing Booth & Bones back on the screen, acting like the cutest couple EVER! And they're both so hot, it drives me crazy. I love the tension between them too much to really care about whether or not they'll get together. I'm perfectly content seeing their insanely flirtatious banters :D

Can you believe it? Tomorrow we have a new SPN ep. This week totally flew by.

*glomps you* Here you are! Girl, you need to post more *pokepokepokeprod* I miss you and your SG:A enthusiasm! ;)

And since I caught you *holds you fast*, I have a Sheppard related question: In fics, I see that many authors mention the fact that Atlantis is "fond" of John O.o Is it based on what's happening in the show or is it totally fandom?

Also, you are so right about Bones. These eps, I also like how quirky Cam is. She was so annoying at first but now... Heh! And it's adorable how exasperated Booth is over what Bones does ;P

Yay, for new SPN! I just really hope and cross my fingers and toes that this ep will have better ratings. Bad ratings kind of spoil my fun because they make the show look bad *pouts*

Yeah, I'll try, I'll try *pokes back* Don't worry, there's not a day that goes by without me either watching an ep of SGA or trying to read an SGA fic. :D

A lot of authors like writing the sentient Atlantis concept; they tend to think Atlantis loves John because he can command/control the city with his mind. It started out canon, since Shep was able to think about commands and it'll happen in the city and the jumper. However, the show didn't emphasize this after season one. For me, I feel it's more fanon than canon.

Bones is such an awesome show. I don't nearly yap enough about it... arrgh, I've been so lazy with blogging :P

SPN tomorrow, WOOH WOOH WOOH!

Unfortunately, I've noticed that everything I do nowadays comes back to SGA. Everything veers to McShep :D I'm just too freaking in love with Rodney and John. THEY ARE SO CUTE, OMFG!

Oh well, but I still love the idea of Atlantis being sentient and loving John - like the Impala loving Dean ;)

You know, I think I'm a bit in love with this YouTube song vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69WDxfoqHHU&feature=related). Do you have any favorite SG:A song vids?

BTW - you are making me quite obsessed with this show ;)

From: [identity profile] kirusai.livejournal.com
I am not a big fan of fanvids. I don't watch them in any fandom, SPN included, unless it comes highly recommended XD

Sentient Impala/Atlantis freaks me to no end. Eh...an entire city thinking on its own kind of raises the creepy factor for me hahaha

SGA is just really awesome. I don't have much time to wax poetic to how awesome it is since I'm still busily watching the show. Can you believe it, I'm rewatching all of seasons 1-3 before even finishing up season 4. I don't want to get all caught up because I can't get over how much I love seasons 1-3.

I'm insanely in love with Rodney & John AND Team Sheppard. It's a great feeling (and it really helps me unwind). Been really stressed lately, and SGA helps in so many ways.

*huggles & smooches you*

I am so happy someone is going crazy with me. SGA is a great obsession, esp. McShep ;) But by now, you already know what I mean about the amazing fics. Gotta dig, but the fantastic stories are there for the reading. ♥

You can go crazy all you want here, luv! Hehe, I know what obsession feels like - my friends already roll eyes when I start talking about SPN :P

Heh, and imagine me - I still have like 2 1/2 seasons to catch up on! I will start watching once this season ends and I'm all caught up on the shows that are airing now. I will have me some nice summer ;)

BTW - I like the new blond doctor. She looks great!

I love to watch song vids, especially to series that I haven't seen yet - all the pretty condensed into 4 minutes. Yay ;)

Oh, I like fics where the Impala turns out to be a transformer. Heh.

We're a couple of episodes behind you on Bones so I'm avoiding spoilers, but just wanted to comment because it's the same for me with anime, I'm not going to spend all that money on DVDs just on the off chance I might like a series, I have to know that I love it first. I think that people tend to forget that fans are by nature obsessive and if they love something they will buy it, if they can.

Exactly! And, I mean, with anime, the prices are ridiculous. 4 eps per one box for 25 USD? Are they nuts?
