Ratings, ANTM and Danneel

So, the ratings for last night's One Tree Hill are 2.90 mil. viewers and 1.3/3 demo. Other shows on the CW... Repeats of Gossip Girl 1.20 mil. and Reaper 1.79 mil. viewers and a new ep - and season premiere - of Pussycat Dolls 1.77 mil. peeps! A new ep of PCD brought in less than the repeat of Reaper! I'm quite curious how PCD will do tonight after a new ep of America's Next Top Model...

Oh, and since I'm already talking about ANTM - as I said before, the Czech channel Prima bought this reality show (probably together with SPN) and they are airing it every day at 1.45 pm here. My mum decided to try and watch one ep. Dude, you should have heard her cuss afterwards. She didn't even finish the one episode. Nasty! XP

And the ratings of Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicles? 8.09 mil. viewers and 3.2/8 demo. Ouch. It's steadily declining: 18.29 -> 10.07 -> 8.65 -> 8.85 -> 8.34 -> 8.09 mil. viewers... Is it even worth to start watching it? According to Ausiello's list no new episodes have been ordered so far...

I think that I'm probably the only person on the planet who doesn't like Danneel Harris' new photo shoot. I mean, if she were a model, then why not. Cool! But if she wants to be taken seriously as an actress... Nyah. Look at Jessica Alba. She took the "look, I'm sexy" road and now folks mostly think that yeah, pretty body but straw in the head. But I'm probably old-fashioned *shrugs*

Some tidbits from Ausiello, no spoilers at all...

• Knight Rider: According to the only insider that really matters these days, A.C. Nielsen, Michael and KITT are cruising for a fall pickup.
  
• Prison Break: Much to my surprise, I'm hearing a fourth season is pretty much a lock. Go figure.
  
• Army Wives: I'm hearing production starts in March with original episodes kicking off in June.
  
• Women's Murder Club: On the plus side, I hear ABC is committed to trying to make the show work — hence the firing of three exec producers last week. On the downside, the sets have been dismantled, which is always an ominous sign. According to one Clubgoer, the trick now is finding a show-runner who gets the series and sees eye to eye with creator/novelist James Patterson. And per my source, "Patterson isn't on the same page with anyone."
  
• Gossip Girl: Although nothing's official, I'm hearing the CW is strongly considering bringing the show back in July/August with an original run of episodes. And that's in addition to the five new episodes we're getting beginning April 21.
  
• Friday Night Lights: (How is it looking for the series?) Not great. NBC gaveTaylor Kitsch permission to take a major role in the forthcoming X-Men spin-off Wolverine, which essentially KO's any chance the show had of coming back this season.
  
• Bones: In addition to the four pre-strike episodes, two new episodes will be produced, and then all six will air on consecutive Mondays beginning April 14.

Okay, is it just me or is the CW really desperate to make GoGi work no matter what? They are quite pushing it.

And yup! There will be GAMBIT in the new Wolverine movie. I know of several people who will literally implode with happiness XD

See, while I am excited about Gambit, I wish they'd bring Jubilee along in one of these movies. She was always one of my fave X-Men.

As for Gossip Girl. It isn't doing as bad as some of the other CW shows, so I can see them keeping it. I actually watch it, but I am not one of those "they HAVE to bring it back.." fans. I just hope they put it back where it was, cuz this Monday stuff isn't working out to well.

I always loved Cyclops best. Don't know why. For me, he was awesome :)

I have yet to watch GoGi. Lately, I don't go for soap operas. I think that shows like Melrose Place cured me of that when I was a teen :D

I didn't like it either. I think this is cliched and over done now. To strip off will only lead to one type of stereotype - its old fashioned and yes, cliched, but so not the way to move forward into the 'sexy' ground. Sexy can be done with the clothes on, thank you.

I LOVE Gambit. I love Wolverine- I collected the comics for years. My older brother is a huge comic book fan.

I like to watch ANTM because its shallow and I just like it because it is what it is and I find it highly amusing. XD

I think the pics are a bit overdone. Maybe less skin would have been more in this case. It's the same with Jensen for me - as I said to a friend below - I love him in sexy clothes... Like the barn pics with him all tanned and in a white shirt *swoons*

I always loved Cyclops best. I pouted when they killed him in X-Men 3 :(

I'm hoping Prison Break gets renewed. Even if it's just for one season, to tie things up. The last bunch of episodes were really great.

You kind of expect from models to get barely dressed/almost naked - just look at the creations they wear on the catwalk. They sell their looks, not what's in their head. From an actress... I don't know. I think these pics are a bit overdone.

And yes, Jensen has done it too, the half-naked thing. And to be honest, I like his dressed pics better. Sometimes, it looks much more sexy when you have something on - compare his "old jeans, bare chest and stetson" pics to his later "white shirt in a barn" pics (icon) and I would, hands down, choose the latter.

I absolutely like the pics of Jensen fully clothed better than the pics of him with the cowboy hat* (mostly because I think he looks like a tool in those :D) but I guess I don't see why someone taking their clothes off makes them a less serious actor. Sexy and talented are not mutually exclusive.

Man, this is just sad. At some point even Don Quixote stopped attacking the windmills. By now they should get it in their heads that this show will never be the 7 Million-drawing, teen-phenomena flaship they wanted for their Teenage-TV Network. Ever. It has press out of the wazoo, it has hype to some degree and the ratings are...as could as they`re going to get. This shows audience downloads or buys at ITunes, not watching live.

But if she wants to be taken seriously as an actress... Nyah. Look at Jessica Alba. She took the "look, I'm sexy" road and now folks mostly think that yeah, pretty body but straw in the head.

I`d say rather "can`t act to save her life" for Alba. :) I don`t care really if actresses/actors do sexy or nude shots. Some look hot, some choose a really bad photographer that makes them only look stupid. Though as long as they can act or come across nicely enough in interviews it`s all the same to me.

They would do anything to save GoGi. They have to because so far, from what I heard, they have no new pilots planned for the fall season. And their so called certain hits - GoGi and Reaper - failed spectacularly. If they don't come up with a hit, the whole network will go down the drain. I'm curious when they will finally fire Ostroff because her "girl power and nothing else" is hurting the network and other shows too. Just look at SV. As long as it's Clark vs. Lex, ratings are up. They bring in Lana for girl-power, ratings go down the drain X(

I don't mind sexy pics, when they are decently done. This photo shoot is a bit overdone. The only pic that's decent is the one with her standing by the car with the jacket on. The others don't even look like a professional photographer took them.

I'm actually not too taken with the PCD thing, but that's mostly because they keep showing that in a huge graphic at the bottom of SPN. But, that is kind of interesting that a repeat of "Reaper" did better than a new PCD.

Heh, tell me about it. I mean, the show is actually called Pussycat Dolls! I have yet to see an ep but from the title I guess that there are half-naked girls running around, slurring each other to win the title. Sheesh. My IQ is dropping just thinking about it XP
