So, Heath Ledger is dead. Accidental overdose or maybe suicide. I really don't get it. The guy had money, a job and promising future, a little daughter for pete's sake. And not even she was worth it for him to seek out real help. I feel sorry for him because he was a human being but mostly, I feel sad for his family and child *sigh*

Jared was really cute at the con, wasn't he? But some things he said made me sad...

- that he himself considers the actresses regulars because they are around that much...
- that Bela and Ruby changed the brothers' dynamics and that they will definitely change it even more in the future because their relationship will be explored more deeply (he didn't look all that happy when he said that, IMO)...
- but what made me especially sad was what he said about them losing valuable crew members and great friends who couldn't just sit around and twiddle their thumbs waiting for the strike to end because they had families to feed and mortgages to pay *sad*

*sigh* Yeah, whatever *throws hands in the air*

People who have a career and everything and end up dead so young...I cannot understand *sighs*
The strike caused too much frustration already.

Just because he's rich and famous doesn't necessarily mean he's happy. You never can tell if someone's going to do something like that. From what I've heard, it sounds more like a suicide.

Katie and Lauren are contracted as series regulars (note the distinction between "series regular" and "series lead" - Jared and Jensen fall under the latter category, as well as the former ... I like to put it like this: all series leads are series regulars, but not all series regulars and series leads, you know?).

And re: Heath. Man, I still can't put anything into words. So sad. :(

Yeah, I get that they are series regulars. It was more about the fact that even Jared comments on how much they are around and that they are affecting the brothers' dynamics. And that's what makes me sad. I mean, if even he comments on the change between the characters so far, what can we expect in the future? In the episode yet to be filmed? I don't want another No Exit or Red Sky with one guy being a sidekick to a girl, the other barely there.

Well, if they weren't changing the dynamic in some marginal way, they'd be kind of useless, wouldn't they? It's not like Sam and Dean live in one bubble and Ruby and Bela live in another, they're all on the same show, so, yeah, much like people (friends, enemies, or acquaintances) in real life influence each other, help each grow (or digress - the definition of change, I suppose), and essentially rub off on each other, characters on a TV show will too.

In my opinion, any major character who doesn't have some impact on the Sam&Dean dynamic, which is the core of the show, is, well, not as important as a character who does not. Sam&Dean will always continue to grow - the dynamic can only get better and better, be it through things meant to tear them apart or bring them together, you know?

Oooooh, now I'm getting sappy. Sorry. I love talking about this stuff, 'cause it fascinates me. :)

(And I quite loved Red Sky, and I didn't think it was nearly as rough as No Exit [though I can totally forgive Sam's non-presence, considering Jared supposedly missed many days of filming on that one due to his surgery], so ... I'm the wrong person to say that too. 'Cause I loff. :9)

Yeah, I do understand that money can't buy you happiness. On the other hand, you can always change your life and that's much easier when you have the money to do so. I mean, look at Barret Oliver - Bastien in the first Neverending Story. He was so fed up with the showbusiness that one day, he just packed his stuff and left.

I just say that alcohol and drugs are never the way out. I know it, my father was an alcoholic and that's why I have zero tolerance for any addiction at all :(

I don't get it either. I mean, when I'm unhappy, I DO something about it. Drugs or alcohol are never the answer, they are no solution. Once I'm sober again, the problems are still there.
