... because I'm terribly hot and I was literally falling asleep X(

Eric Kripke Scores Overall Deal at Warner Bros. TV. So, Kripke gets a two-year exclusive pact. Does that mean that the WB will give SPN the 5 years Kripke always wanted AND the chance to develop another series that would sell well abroad? Looks like it, doesn't it :) Because, why would it be a two-year pact otherwise if it wasn't somehow tied to SPN, right?

This morning, I read a review in EZTV's thread for SGA's ep 5x01 that quite irked me. The reviewer said: "I acknowledge that it's not fair of me to judge and compare because I've watched BSG from the beginning and therefore have an attachment and I have only watched this one episode of Stargate." And then he went on how unsophisticated and unrealistic this show was and dissed the "juvenile approach" the series had to villains. And all that the reviewer got from watching one episode, the premiere of the 5th season, without knowing the background of the show or its characters... Uh, right. Stargate is so unsophisticated and unrealistic that SG-1 got 10 seasons and 2 movies so far and SGA is at its 5th season. Uh. Right. Whatever *hands*

Interesting.

Especially if it leads to stability for our show! Less so if not.

From the WB`s side, surely, will depend if they have a networking platform though. Right now they only have the CW as a network and well, fingers crossed it will hold out. I believe Warner works on aquiring something else but that`s probably gonna take at least two more years.

I think the reviewer missed an important point. You watch BSG, it basically says "we wanna be deep, dark and philosophical/religious" while SG and SGA always told me "we wanna be fun for you".

In my eyes both have their place. I don`t understand this looking down on shows that want to be - and succeed - good, honest entertainment. It`s an accomplishment to manage that. And I don`t want dark and deep all the time, I want popcorn fun with likeable characters as well.

I just really want to see SPN to run its course so I hope that the CW keeps going for two more years. After that, I don't really care. There's just nothing else that I watch on that network. I used to like Smallville until they turned it from Clark vs. Lex into a love triangle with Lana on top *sigh*

I think that for the WB, SPN is their golden goose that sells well abroads and has a cult following that's ready to buy anything they throw at it. I hope that they will stand for SPN against CW's TPTB.

I liked the old BSG - RTL's Sunday mornings were mine XP - and the beginning of the new BSG. But then, it started to feel more and more like I was watching West Wing with aliens. Sorry, for me, sci-fi shows are about shooting aliens and blowing stuff up *shrugs*

I just really don't get how someone can compare four years of show to one ep taken right from the middle of another show, with no background or anything. Just boggles the mind...

Oh, I think if the CW is still around and Warner remain with it, SPN is all but guaranteed a 5th Season but if the network is unsalvageable, Warner will have a lot of shows they want to keep in production and no network to show them on.

I really do like the new BSG, "otherness" and all. To me it`s one of the best written shows on TV right now but it`s also not for every mood. Like reading some Dostojewski. :)

They probably just wanted to sound important and "high-brow". I know if I read something like "those shows are/were so stupid, I never watched them of course", I dismiss the statement.

Indeed, petal *feels very optimistic*!

Then why does he go on to judge and compare it??? O.O
