Ratings are so interesting!
May. 6th, 2008 06:45 pmMonday's fast nationals...
Gossip Girl: last week (new) 2.51 mil., 1.3/3; this week (new) 2.11 mil., 1.0/3
One Tree Hill: last week (new) 2.50 mil., 1.2/3; this week (new) 2.20 mil., 1.0/3
Bones: last week (new) 9.68 mil., 3.2/9; this week (new) 8.13 mil., 2.7/8
House: last week (new) 14.51 mil., 5.7/13; this week (new) 13.26 mil., 5.0/13
House is listed as a winner by Programming Insider's Marc Berman, both Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill are losers according to him. I'm quite curious to hear the CW's spin on these numbers... *curious*
Also, I found quite an interesting article: Gossip Girl vs. The Hills: Don’t Believe CW’s Positive Spin! I quote: They’ll put a positive spin on it in any way they can, but the truth is things are spinning out of control over in the land of Gossip Girl and Dawn Ostroff known as the CW.
Do I fault the CW for wanting to target 18-34 year olds, specifically females? Not at all. The evidence is crystal clear that advertisers are actually willing to pay a premium for that demographic and we don’t like to ever chide anyone for “following the money”. We consider that a sensible ploy.
And Psych ratings for the last couple of weeks that NBC's been running its repeats: 3.98 1.3/3 --> 4.24 1.2/3 --> 4.04 1.1/3 --> 3.44 1.0/2 --> 3.75 1.2/4. It's good that it's a very successful show on USA network!
