So, according to the United Hollywood Blog, the DGA might sign a new contract with the networks very soon which could undermine the position of the WGA in their negotiations...
*sigh* To be honest, I really don't care either way. The only thing that I'm interested in is how it'll affect my favorite show aka Supernatural. Selfish? Hell yeah. But I don't know the situation, I don't know what's really going on, only what journalists write about in their columns and let's face it, it's not really objective.
As BuddyTV stated, the strike could be a good thing for SPN:
The fact that Supernatural is a reliable player will look good when it comes time for the CW to plan its fall 2008 schedule, and it'll look even better if they have no new pilots lined up. New shows such as Reaper and Gossip Girl have a lot of buzz but not much power in the ratings, and unless they want to fill their entire schedule with reality dreck, they have to bring Supernatural back for a fourth year. If they cancel it, they'll likely have no new content to take its place.
So, even though I miss my shows, I would prefer to do without them for the time being if that meant that I would have my pet show for another year. That's the only thing that I really care about.
