I've been reading "Death Trick" by Richard Stevenson, the first novel in the Donald Strachey Mysteries, these days. And let me tell you that beside it being a good mystery novel, it's also a great study of the pre-AIDS gay "dating" habits. I mean, uh, no wonder that HIV spread like a flu among them - they were going at it like bunnies and it was like they considered condom and monogamy bad words *sigh*

I hope to finish editing the translation of Hendee's "Rebel Fay" today. And then it'll be "Dragons of a Lost Star" by Weis and Hickman for me *sigh* 550 pages! Shoot me now, please?

Death Trick is kinda weirding me out. I mean pre-AIDS thing (seriously when I first read about the sex without condoms I was all 'HOW STUPID A-...oh right') and not to mention the Towers still being there and it's just... wow.

Y'know?

Other than my boggling over certain things (MUSTACHE, Ill-advised I'm sure)I'm enjoying the book though. Although I *may* like the movies better. We shall see.

Yeah, that book weirded me out a bit too. But the mystery was very good!
