Psych rocks my socks!

Last night, I jigsaw-puzzled for a bit - the Guilin, China puzzle is shaping up nicely! - and I listened to the audio commentaries to the Psych eps Spellingg Bee and 9 Lives. Oh my gosh, they are funny!
The producers and writers talked about how much male love is allowed pro ep. Like three hugs but all of them with eyes open on both sides of the hug. Once the characters close their eyes when hugging, the hug is considered much more intimate and kind of homosexual-ish. Other funny stuff...
--> In 9 Lives, the song that Shawn sang in the Chief's office? The cat song? James Roday composed it.
--> The studio hates the amount of horizontal lines they use - the blinds at the police station, Shawn's striped t-shirts...
--> James Roday doesn't know how to ride a bike that's why they use the bike as little as possible.
--> The first scene with Shawn and Gus in 9 Lives, when they are walking towards the crime scene and Shawn is eating Chinese food? He had only 8 pieces of broccoli in the box and they had to last him throughout all the takes so he ate only one piece per take, cutting it as small as possible.
--> James Roday was terribly scratched by the cat that he had to hold in his arms in the 9 Lives episode and he actually wanted to film the episode about the cat without the cat XD
--> Tim Osmudson - Carlton Lassiter - likes to a) wave a gun around - give him a gun and he is happy - and b) eat or chew a gum in every episode. When they forbade him to chew a gum, he appeared with a bag of popcorn on the set XD
So funny! It's so worth it to buy the DVDs!

Date: 2007-12-04 09:01 pm (UTC)Seriously though, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have them on DVD. And yes the commentaries are hysterical. It just makes me want to meet everyone involved with that project even more!
You know, I've been meaning to ask this for awhile. What do you think of Burn Notice?
