Obviously, I must be retarded, dumb as a lamp post, living in lalaland because what the heck is with people calling Jensen Ackles fat? People who like reading fics about Jensen gaining weight, sure, why not. It's their kink. I love sub!Jensen, congratulations. But fans calling the actual actor fat? Sorry, but that's not funny. I'm no frail flower either and I know how much it hurts when someone calls you fat when you really are overweight. Calling someone fat because he doesn't suffer from anorexia is simply wrong and you won't find any haha about it in this LJ.

But as some fans pointed out in spnstoryfinders: people posting that in comms might just be trolls in disguise, wanting to raise attention and wreak havoc. And as one of the fans responded: "Jensen FAT??! WOW!? Now, I'll go in my corner and question why Jared is so short." *nods*

ETA: Obviously, said poster is a foreigner and the whole thing was a misunderstanding. But I just don't know how the sentence "I love Jensen even though he is fat" can be misunderstood. Yes, I'm a skeptic XP

Even if that was just a request for chubby-fic, it was phrased all kinds of wrong. Stories dealing with his WEIGHT PROBLEM? WTF?

Okay, just read the edit. Apparently the poster in question isn`a native speaker. Still, if it is enough to read the stories, it probably is enough to read up what one`s typing and spare oneself a lot of grief.

I do understand that a chubby!Jensen might by some people's kink. Sure why not? Other folks read about anorectic!Jensen or bespectacled!Jensen. I'm just annoyed that people post stuff without reading it properly first. Whenever something I write might be taken as an insult if not recognized as a joke, I edit and re-edit until it sounds "proper", native English speaker or not. Heck, English is my 3rd language! But as I wrote in the response to that post, lately there's been so much hate that I'm never sure these days, what's a joke and what's an actual slur. If it's a joke, make a smiley at least, for pete's sake! X(

It`s something else in one`s own journal but in comms I do that too. Just because over the internet you can`t recognize tone or see a grinning face to indicate it`s a joke.

I know exactly how that feels. Being very small and small-boned to boot, I struggle with my weight if I get anywhere above 105~110 pounds. My sister enjoys making fun of me for it, and even now when I'm barely 90 pounds she still takes a sadistic glee in poking fun and calling me "fat", knowing I'm very sensitive about my weight despite being nearly anorexic at the point I'm at now. It really hurts to have that sort of feeling, so I don't blame you for being upset at all.

I don't get this. Apparently this has been a thing lately. Calling Jen fat and mocking and belittling him for it. I don't get it. He's not Jared trim but he is NO WAY fat or even pudgy or even a bit slightly over-weight. I just don't get it at all. The only bit to him that has the least bit of pudge is his chin and that is only when he contorts it and does weird things, you know what I mean? Even the thinnest of people have that.

Though mostly I don't get giving Jensen any kind of hate at all. You know? Why? I mean, why do it? He is just such an awesome person. MEH! MEH, I say! This has been bugging me.

I get the the whole jubjub thing is a kink, not one I personally have, but I understand it's like any other kink. I just kinda wish it hadn't come about and stirred up so much shit.

Ha. You know, if it had been pudgy Jared though? I might of liked it. lol. Cause he's the candy whore. You know? *shrug* And I mean, I dig gorged out Dean. I've read a really awesome fic surrounding his distended belly after having eaten everything and anything. But Jensen just... doesn't seem the type. Er. Anyway. lol.

Well, obviously, it's a sarcastic joke that some fans started. But people obviously didn't get the sarcasm behind the whole thing and now it's a huge wank and the people who started it find it funny *shrugs*

I always do my best to ignore wank. It's always so f'ing stupid. Just a bunch of hot headed people blowing things out of proportion. Which is weird though because it never really seemed like SPN had much in the way of wank but lately it's like it's been a real wankfest. Everyone is geared up to attack at the slightest indiscretion. Meh.

Yes, sadly. I've been told off today for politely pointing out that not everybody understands sarcasm. My reaction was "whatever". I'm done with this thing and I won't post anything about it in my LJ outside this entry anymore. Obviously, people can't discuss various points and sides of a problem without using the f-words etc. these days *sigh*
