According to Deadline Hollywood Daily the writer's strike might come to its end before Christmas! As Nikky Finke said yesterday:

But here goes: a very reliable source tells me that there appears to be a deal seemingly in place between both sides. (...) Look, I don't want to raise false hope here. But this source has been very accurate in the past.

So, I'm reluctant to start dancing merrily - yes, I'm an eternal pessimist and skeptic in these things - but maybe, just maybe this season might not be at its end yet *crosses fingers*

Hey, if they get it done till Christmas, we`d only be losing one episode probably. I volunteer a certain "substantial turn" past sob-story ep. :-p
Maybe they have used this time to gather some reaction and course correct a bit. Hopefully.

And on a grander scale a lot of people would certainly not be losing their jobs right in time for Christmas.

I really hope that they will reach an agreement soon. I feel sorry for all the people who would lose their jobs right before Xmas otherwise :(

They said that yesterday, but we still haven't heard anything.

Well, as the blogger said, both parties put kibosh on the whole negotiations. They won't say anything to the reporters until they reached or didn't reach an agreement. But I'm not too hopeful. It's a positive sign though.
