Fans are a funny flock! *shakes head*

So, I would have thought that the girls would be the biggest problem, the biggest pet peeve of S3. But obviously, I was wrong.

No, the biggest pet peeve is Dean Winchester, ladies and gentlemen. According to some fans, he is too bouncy, too laid-back, he is selfish *gasps* (and only Sam has the right to behave selfishly)... And fans reacting IN THIS WAY!!!1!!! ASWDSFEL!!111! make me laugh and roll my eyes.

Sheesh, calm down, people. No wonder that TPTB and reporters think that we are a bunch of nutjobs!

Dean is obviously going through the "Five Stages of Grief" and the first stage is Denial, which is not only a river in Egypt but also Dean Winchester's middle name. Kripke has to handle Dean's situation carefully. He can't have him angsting the whole year. He has to keep Dean dying for 22 episodes after all.

Some fans said that there was no chemistry between the brothers in this episode. What about the long look they exchanged in the house? I mean, it's possible that Jensen didn't put his whole heart into it because - according to ckll - he didn't like this funny, bouncy Dean *shrugs*

Also, there is another funny thing. Fans who loved this Dean, hated Ruby. Fans who hated this Dean, liked Ruby. Or they didn't like either of them *shakes head* Come on, I'm not a big fan of female characters but so far, Kripke handled Ruby rather well.

I see what you mean... it is kinda funny,but maybe given a chance the fans might settle down?Hopefully...
Oh and i am one of those who loved this Dean an loved Ruby....
But i have to say,Sam rocked it!

I loved Sam too ;) And Ruby is cool, isn't she? I liked it that she didn't behave too condescending towards Sam.

I think the problem is that fans got used to a dark and broody Dean. Kripke changed him totally and fans are now put off. Sure, as I said in my review, Kripke really should tone it down a bit before it gets annoying but it's not like the sky is falling down *rolls eyes*

Exactly. But from what I've read, I'm afraid that most fans won't be too happy with this ep :(

If they are not, then they should change fandom instead of ruin the fun.

True, but if they change fandom, we will lose viewers. What I hate is when someone who claims to be a fan of the show says after only one ep "I won't watch anymore. I will tape it and rather watch CSI." I think that that's not a real fan. Even the worst episodes of this show had some good parts :(

I didn't mean now. I meant when he went to college. In a normal situation, it wouldn't be perceived as selfish but obviously, it hurt Dean a lot. Just like when Sam wanted to go back to college in Shadow. He wanted to live his own life and he didn't care much what Dean thought about it. During the 2nd season he learned that family is on the first place no matter what. And now he is the best brother eva! :D

But seriously, 90 % of people that I came across so far, complained about the way Dean behaved. They even said that there was no chemistry between the boys at all :(

There was something off about this episode but I'm just not sure what *scratches head*
