It was close to 4 am when Ellie found him sitting curled up on the couch in the living room, staring out of the window.
"Chuck?" she rasped drowsily, rubbing her eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"Sitting," he stated the obvious. "Can't sleep."
Ellie frowned and stepping closer, she crouched in front of him and rubbed his knee. "You okay?"
No, he wanted to yell. I have top secret data stuck in my head and the government's assassins on my tail! And I'm scared!
But instead he patted her hand and smiled. "Sure. Just the usual bout of insomnia."
