Blair's life has always been about sacrifice…

Sacrificing friends to his mother's wanderlust, sacrificing food money for school books…

So when the time came and he had to choose – Jim's life or his own – it was no choice at all.

His academic career was destroyed, his credibility shot, all his dreams shattered. But he kept Jim safe and that was all that really mattered.

At least that's what Blair's telling himself as he sits on the floor in his room, leaning against the wall, knees pulled to his chest, gun and badge cradled in his hands…

Soul crumbling to ashes.

Well done. What's Blair going to do with that gun? The way you have left it, suicide is looking very likely. I'm told a drabble should leave the reader asking more questions than it answered, so again, good job.
