"Hey," Morgan said leaning on his colleague's desk, his voice soft and gentle as always when talking to Spencer Reid.

"Hey," Reid answered, tucking his hair nervously behind his ear.

"About the shooting today…" Morgan started reluctantly.

"I don't regret killing the unsub," Reid said firmly, interrupting him. "He would have shot you."

Grateful but worried, Morgan frowned. "Then what's wrong?"

Reid stilled, not looking up. "It bothers me that it doesn't bother me more."

Instead of offering platitudes, Morgan squeezed his friend's shoulder and waited patiently until Reid looked up. "I'm here for you."

Smiling slightly, Reid nodded. "Thanks."
